Giving to the Pioneer Montessori School
At Pioneer Montessori School, approximately 10% of our annual budget comes directly from donations. Gifts from parents, grandfriends, faculty, staff, alumni and friends allow us to improve our School each year. Because we have confidence in your generosity and dedication to Pioneer Montessori School, we consciously offer programs that cannot be met through tuition alone. Without this support, these expenses would need to be met completely through tuition revenue, thus making a private, Montessori education impossible to afford for many of our families. These gifts – your gifts – make all that we do at Pioneer Montessori School possible. Every gift is valued, regardless of size, because of the statement that is makes about the community’s shared vision and commitment to providing an authentic, Montessori education for families in the Wood River Valley.
Here’s how…
Annual Giving is a yearly fundraising campaign aimed at garnering unrestricted financial support from our families, grandfriends, alumni and friends of the School. These funds go directly into the operating budget and help to support scholarships, special projects and enhancements, dedicated faculty and staff, quality materials in the classrooms, campus renovations, and dynamic educational programs. Annual Giving is essential to keeping Pioneer Montessori School sustainable. Your donations have allowed the School to keep tuition costs as low as possible, while also increasing our financial aid to many families. Annual Giving a tax deductible opportunity for all who give. Gifts many be pledged or paid any time prior to the school’s fiscal year end, July 31. Make your gift today!
Many employers offer a Matching Gift Program wherein they match, double, or even triple a donor’s contribution. We encourage you to check with your employer concerning a Matching Gift Program. Participation is usually as simple as providing Pioneer Montessori School with your company’s matching gift form when you send in your own gift.
Organized by the Parents’ Association, the Spring Fundraiser is one of the two
major fundraising events (along with Annual Giving) at Pioneer Montessori School each year. This event is highly anticipated and always well attended. All families are encouraged to participate in this important and enjoyable event by volunteering, attending, bringing guests and/or donating and purchasing items.
In the fall of 2016 Lauren Jellinek Flower (Jacob’s mother) and Judy Jellinek (Jacob’s grandmother) established the endowment that will commemorate the spirit of Jacob to be forever remembered within classrooms of Pioneer Montessori School. Our intention is to provide a financial award at the beginning of the 6th grade year to all families and students completing the elementary 6-year cycle. Montessori’s cycles are the cornerstone of a 110-year tradition and are fundamental to Pioneer Montessori School’s classroom culture. In honor of Jacob’s contagious smile, heartwarming personality and the culmination of childhood, Pioneer Montessori School is privileged to carry on a legacy of commitment with a financial award for the colpletion of the elementary years. We are incredibly grateful to Lauren and Judy for their generous donation and are appreciative of any gift you may consider.
